Room Service Assistant (Alfardan Hospitality)

•To ensure that the Outlet is clean, neat and tidy.
•To participate in daily pre-meal meetings and monthly communication meeting within the department.
•Accurately records, pre-checks and picks-up all food and beverage orders.
•Serves guests their food and beverage as per the in room dining standard sequence of service.
•To respect guests privacy and confidentiality.
•Sets trays/ Trolleys as per Outlet standard.
•Up-sell or promote all specials advertised in the outlet as well promoting slow moving items. To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend Food & Beverage combinations and up sell alternatives.
•Responsible for all side duties described in the job task check list.
•To be knowledgeable of all ingredients and prices of the food and beverage listed on the menu.
•To follow the cash handling procedures and process all guest orders through MICROS before any dish or beverage is served.
•During low occupancy of the outlet, to assist with stocking the work stations and clean them, polishing silverware, china and glassware and folding napkins.
•Attends work on time as scheduled.
•Follows hotel grooming and dress standard.
•Acquires a working knowledge of hotel, in-house facilities and local information to respond to guest questions in these areas as required.
•Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed.
•Keeps immediately supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matter of significance.
•To handle guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to the Assistant Restaurant Manager if no immediate solution can be found and assure follow up with guests.
•Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve overall objectives of this position.
•To handle all food, beverage and operating equipment with care, in order to minimize breakage / wastage
•Ability to rotate throughout each of the food & beverage outlets
•Knows all safety and emergency procedures.
•Understands that business demands sometimes make it necessary to move employees from their accustomed shifts to other shifts.
•Implements & controls the policies and regulation related to staff Health & Safety, Grooming, Service & Hygiene.
•To deliver “lost and found” properties directly to Housekeeping Department.
•To inform Room Service Manager and Security if there is anything unusual, suspicious or problematic cases.
•Performs any other duties as assigned to her/him by management.
