Order Taker (Alfardan Hospitality)

•To maintain a professional appearance by wearing a clean and pressed uniform and the nametag in designated location.
•To get information on room status, departures and V.I.P.’s.
•To receive and record all telephone calls.
•To maintain records of extra items such as iron and ironing boards, extra beds and baby cots.
•Handles lost property
•Coordinates OS and OO rooms with Reception
•Communicates with Front Office
•Communicates with guests
•Distributes rooms to Guestroom Attendants
•Controls working times, controls amount of rooms done by the Room Attendants
•Controls the Keyboard / Issues keys
•Follows up on maintenance requests, to ensure completion.
•Records and forwards to relevant department all guest requests for immediate action.
•Performs other duties assigned by the Executive Housekeeper and/or Asst. Housekeeper
•Knows where all facilities of the hotel are and be fully aware of any relevant changes and events within the hotel and local area.
•Reports any incident to his superior
•Controls the store items and weekly orders.
•Keeps storeroom clean, tidy and well arranged at all times.
•Knows the hotel's fire and safety precautions
•The Order Taker is required to work on Fridays and public holidays if required
•Is aware of the hotel policy and emergency procedure in the working area
•Covers up other areas in the department when needed
•Controls and records any extra work in the rooms like carpet shampooing and spring cleaning
•Does not leave her desk without calling for a relieving as there should be one person on the desk.
•To attend training sessions or communication meetings as advised by the Assistant Housekeeping Manager/Executive Housekeeper.
•To carry out fire, safety and evacuation procedures as required by the policy of the hotel.
•To cooperate in the performance of any reasonable task requested by managers of the hotel.
•To adhere to the hotels’, Housekeeping Rules, and Regulations at all times.
